The Dean’s List is an award that recognizes the leadership and dedication of FIRST’s most outstanding and passionate students. Each year, every robotics team is able to nominate up to 2 students to be considered for the award at a regional event, and winners will move on to compete to become Dean’s List winners at the annual FIRST World Championship in late April.
Each year, our teams will have the chance to nominate up to 2 of their best students for the Dean’s List award. Mentors from the team then write nominating essays and help the nominees prepare and practice for their in-person interviews with the judges. It is a difficult decision every year to determine who our nominees will be, and we are truly proud of the hard work and dedication of the students we select. You can learn more about our past nominees and read their nominating essays below.
